What can I do for you?
I work from Arabic, Italian and Spanish into English. By translating exclusively into my mother tongue, I produce translations that are fluent and well written.
By combining my translation and copywriting skills, I help businesses to cross borders and reach English-speaking markets.
Proofreading + Editing
Sometimes you need a second pair of eyes to check through an existing text for any errors. I am happy to proofread and revise your content.
Subtitling + Transcription
Flawed subtitles are frustrating for audiences to read. I can provide English subtitles that perfectly complement your audiovisual material.

I’m Esma, a translator based in Nottingham who has worked professionally with languages since 2013. Prior to starting Word Verve, I worked as a paralegal and in-house translator, which provided me with the opportunity to refine my skills as a language specialist. I’m passionate about languages, and I know just how important words are. As a qualified professional who has undertaken extensive language training, you can trust me to produce high-quality translations that read like originals.
I value each one of my clients, and I believe that a personal touch is necessary when it comes to crafting the perfect translation. By being your single point of contact from start to finish, I get to know you and your project in order to tailor my services to your specifications.

WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?
Rates generally depend on the word count/file length/number of pages, language combination, subject matter and urgency.
I always provide a full breakdown of the costs involved with an explanation as to how the quote was calculated. There are never any hidden fees. Please kindly note that a minimum fee of £20 applies unless otherwise agreed in writing.
HOW MANY WORDS CAN YOU TRANSLATE IN A DAY?
I can normally translate between 2,000 and 2,500 words a day.
WHERE CAN I FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THE PROCESS?
WHICH CURRENCIES AND PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
I accept GBP (£), CHF (Fr), QAR (QR), AED, and EUR (€). The only payment methods that I accept are bank transfer and PayPal.
WHY WORK WITH YOU DIRECTLY?
Without an intermediary, it's much easier for me to understand and fulfil your requirements. Moreover, I'll always be there once the project is complete to answer your questions or go through things with you should you want something amended, revised or clarified.
WHICH FILE FORMAT DO YOU DELIVER SUBTITLES IN?
I am normally asked to produce subtitles in .ttml or .ass format, but I am happy to discuss your requirements if you have another format in mind.
ARE YOU A SWORN TRANSLATOR?
In the UK, there is no such thing as a sworn translator. Certifying a translation simply means that the translator declares that the translation is accurate. If you would like the translation to be notarised, this can be arranged for an additional fee. Notaries do not, however, check the quality of the translation.
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TRANSLATION AND TRANSCREATION?
Transcreation refers to the translation of texts that tend to be more creative and need to be adapted to the culture of the target audience or market. Examples of texts that need this type of adaptation include taglines, adverts, and creative copy.
